Progress at the shop

We have started making progress with the new shop. The council letter arrived on Thursday and the builder has contacted the window framer, the shed company etc. So things will be happening now. It has been such a long process and we still have a long way to go. There is so much to do and we have 8 weeks with Christmas as well. It will be so worth it once we are in and settled. There is so much to pack.

The new window will be installed in 2 weeks and then we can remove the old window framework. This ensures that the building in secure and not accessible to the public while work go on. This will open the another 4 metres long of floor space. The old windows did provide lovely display area but we needed more floor space. The new window will be 2 panes and 1 extra wide sliding door. The sliding door is next to wall on the right side facing the shop. This door will be open when we are trading so no one will need to push a pram and hold open a door at the same time. It will also be easier for deliveries as it is the only entrance for them to enter by. I am excited as it will change the look of the shop giving it a new fresh look.
