This is the before and after shot of the carpet being removed. Underneath were ancient floor tiles which were laid on ply and could be lifted up in sheets. This took all day for Leigh, Chris (my darling husband) and good friend Tony. They had to remove nails in the floor which took hours there were a lot of nails every few inches. Chris stated he ached all over in places he didn't know about. This was done in preparation for the new staircase to go in so they had a bare floor to work from. Darryl had the same "nail problem" when he ripped up our carpet at the house we sold earlier in the year. His hands and especially fingers were SO SORE afterwards! Maybe a foot massage is in order for Chris?? Hmmm Kim?? Hugs n Blessings from Sue x
